Project Description
Ferrara and Palladino striking new project, revealed to the public in April 2015, represents an extensive makeover of the lighting installation in the Malpensa Intercontinental Arrival hall. The traveller is now welcomed by an impressive line of large fiberglass leafs embracing the high columns of the hall. The project is a poetic interpretation of flying, the fiberglass elements extending elegantly into the space, defining gravity, giving a sense of lightness and grace to the space. The “wings” are distributed along the columns, at the height of 4 to 8m. State of the art led technology was applied to this installation with 100, custom made, diffusing lighting fixtures, mounted on the top side of each wing.
