June 5, 2019 - Invitation to a fruitful conversation between the well-known philosopher Giulio Giorello and the engineer and lighting designer Pietro Palladino that took place in the Poldi Pezzoli Museum, Milan. The two protagonists spent more than an hour talking about light and its physical properties through the history of research on light. The discussion has been really engaging and enjoyable at the same time. People attending the talk made very nice comments about the variety of topics and the deep knowledge of the two speakers. The talk has been organized for the presentation of the book - Manuale del lighting designer, una riflessione sulla luce -  author Pietro Palladino.

9th Colour Conference – Florence, September 2013 Luminescent Solar Concentrators (LSCs) represent a very promising field for R andD about solar components, especially the semitransparent ones, suitable for building integration. Lo studio è stato interpellato per redigere una relazione tecnica in merito al mancato funzionamento di alcune lampade fluorescenti a catodo freddo installate per l’illuminazione esterna a vetri di un edificio con fronte su strada. Relazione tecnica Facendo funzionare le lampade smontate dall’impianto a una correntedi 100 m A (corrente da considerarsi nominale per la dimensione degli elettrodi) si manifesta un notevole surriscaldamento (160°C sulla parete del vetro, misura con infrarosso) in prossimità dell’elettrodo. Si può dunque ipotizzare che la temperatura dell’elettrodo all’interno del tubo di scarica arrivi fino a 230°C.
